Single Component Waterproof Coating The single component, waterproof coating formulated by normal emulsion has a general 7days water absorption rate of 15 to 20%. Even after repeated optimization, it is difficult to achieve below 8%. As the emulsion is highly hydrophilic, a large quantity of hydrophilic substances is dissolved. It may even result in the 7days water absorption rate being lower than the 1day water absorption rate. Latex DL 350PA waterproof membranes has a very low water absorption rate in normal formulation.
